"I never, ever imagined myself ringside at pro wrestling shows on the Ontario indy circuit." - Sara
When Marshall and I launched Bonn Park four years ago, our goal was to showcase the many amazing people doing cool stuff in Waterloo Region's creative community.
We've since interviewed more than 200 fascinating folks: artists, musicians, filmmakers, activists, educators and so many more. We hope our show helps elevate voices and stories in the Region that may otherwise go unheard.
If you're reading this post, you have been an important part of our journey in one way or another.
We hope you'll come along with us on our next (and most ambitious) collaboration to date -- the full-length documentary we're making, The Ref Didn't See It!
Filmed almost entirely around Waterloo Region with dozens of talented local performance artists (you probably know some of them), this is a locally made movie with international aspirations and a huge potential audience. Past Bonn Park guests Mat McCarthy, Colin Hunter, Lenny Lilac, Vanessa Douglas and more are working with us on The Ref Didn't See It!
We've been filming for nearly a year, entirely out of pocket, and we need help to bring this project to fruition the way it deserves.
To watch the teaser, see news coverage and contribute, head to our Kickstarter:
If you can chip in, wonderful. If not, please just help us spread the word. Ultimately we know we've got a great movie on our hands and we want it to be seen by as many people as possible.
Thank you for being part of the Bonn Park story so far, and stay tuned for big news from The Ref Didn't See It!
